When it comes to your life, you really only have three choices: You can waste your life; you can spend your life; or, you can invest your life. That’s it. Those are your options. You can waste your life, and there are plenty of ways to waste it. You can spend your life, and there are a lot of ways to spend it. But the greatest use of your life is to invest it on something that will outlast it. And that's what we’re going to read this week in God’s Word.
As you will read this week, God is saying, “I put you on earth to use your life for good – for your good, for the growth of others, for the glory of God.” He’s saying, “I don’t want you to waste or abuse your life. I want you to use your life.”
One day we will all stand before God, and we’re going to give Him an account of our lives that answers these questions: What did we do with His Son, Jesus? And, what did we do with the life He gave regarding our time, talent, and resources? Jesus told a story in Luke 19:12-28 about life management.
In this story, Jesus gives us truths to manage our everyday life. Here are a couple of those truths, and as you read this story, see what other truths you are able to discover. The first truth is everything we have belongs to God. The second truth is God has loaned us our talents, time, and resources. How we manage them is a priority to God. Ok that’s all I am going to give you. Have fun as you read and discover more. My prayer is that you will embrace God’s desire to use your life. And next, that you will enlist yourself in being faithful for God to use you.
