Vision Update

Dear Celebrate Family,
There are so many exciting things happening at Celebrate Church, I wanted to take just a moment to give you a quick update on a few of them.
First and foremost, an update on the land for our new church, I am excited to tell you that we are getting very close to signing the final contract. These past few months since the County Commission Approval we have been diligently working behind the scenes to finalize everything with the Celebration Company to pave the way for our new church building! I am happy to report that things are moving forward. We just received our due diligence report back from the civil engineering company. This is a vital part of the process in order to move ahead with plans and permits. The final contract is being reviewed by attorneys on both sides and we hope to have it signed within the month! Please stay tuned for updates and please be in prayer for the massive task ahead of us in building a permanent home for our church family.
It is also exciting to report that our Life Groups in 2008 have taken off like never before. With over 600 people participating in "40 Days of Purpose" and now over 25 life groups continuing on in our second semester! It has been my mission for a long time to see hundreds of people from Celebrate and from the community participating in Life Groups and we are finally seeing that happen! Special thanks to Bob Carson and his amazing Life Group leadership team... not to mention all of our incredible Life Groups leaders opening their hearts and homes each week to help so many people grow in Christ and Do Life Together! My heart of gratitude is overflowing to you!
Our first Men's Mini-Camp happening this weekend, missions trips and outreaches around the world being planned and finalized for this Summer, the launch of Celebrate Recovery and a brand new Evangelism and Outreach Ministry, our youth getting geared up for a weeklong encounter with God at Beach Week, and so much more. I am so honored to be able to partner with you in fulfilling God's mission for Celebrate Church and for the thousands of people in our communities.
While we are moving forward with the land and the incredible ministry that is happening, let us not forget that everything we do is about making room for people... BECAUSE PEOPLE MATTER TO GOD! May we always keep that vision and heart before us. May God's passion for people be at the center of everything that we do. We are here to help people find freedom in Christ! Let us not forget the reason we moved to the Orlando Sun Resort (now the Ramada Celebration Hotel)... one reason and one reason only... TO MAKE ROOM FOR PEOPLE!
While I realize there is some flexibility required with being moved around from week to week here at the hotel, and we all miss the cushy seats, cup holders and giant screen of the AMC, let us never forget our mission and the vision that God has given to us. We now have the room to bring our friends, neighbors, family members, co-workers, and even complete strangers to experience the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ and find the answers they have been searching for! It is my prayer that we would take full advantage of every opportunity that God has given us every single week!
I am excited about the future of Celebrate and look forward with hope and anticipation at all God has for our church family!

Learn to Share Your Faith with Others!
 We are looking for people who have a heart to share the gospel with others. This new team will be visiting newcomers to Celebrate and those who have prayed the prayer of salvation recently.
Maybe you have experience with this type of outreach, or perhaps you would like to learn more about how to share the Good News of Christ. Either way, this team is for you!

Celebrate Recovery!
Freedom from your Hurts, Hang-Ups & Habits
 Celebrate Recovery is a brand new ministry at Celebrate being led by Mark & Lynde Jones.
The complete Celebrate Recovery program will be offered January 2009, but we are currently holding preliminary meetings for those desiring to get involved now.
Currently there are two meetings offered to work through the 12 steps of recovery using the participant guides.
Men are meeting every Tuesday from 6:30-8:30 PM (contact Mark 407-460-3875). Women are meeting every Thursday 6:30-8:30 PM (contact Lynde 407-460-2934).
These groups are open to new members for a short time. They will close after completing the 3rd step. Celebrate Recovery is healing your hurts, habits, and hang-ups through the power of Jesus Christ!

If you are not yet a member of Celebrate Church, then consider taking that next step!
We
will be holding our next "Doing Church as a Team" Membership Class on Saturday, May 17th (location TBA) from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. We only offer this class a few times per year, so take advantage of
this opportunity. This is a special Saturday class to accomodate those who cannot make it to an evening session.
If you call Celebrate Church "home" then we encourage you to become a member! In this class you will learn
about the vision, mission, culture and theology of Celebrate Church, as
well as be given an opportunity to join as an official member. This
class is a pre-requisite for everyone desiring to become a member at
Celebrate Church.
