This is Love
Pastor Joe Saragusa
As we have been journeying together through our current series at Celebrate ("Just Walk Across the Room"), my life and thinking has been impacted in a profound way.
I have been personally challenged and inspired to see people through God's eyes in a greater way than I ever have before. We have all been impacted with the sobering fact that people really are lost without a relationship with Christ. And unless they discover and embrace that relationship, unless someone tells them, they will be lost for all eternity.
But how can we make a difference? How can we really affect another person's life for God? The answer is in one single word... LOVE! What force in life can you currently think of that is more potent than love? There is none! Without love, our lives echo with emptiness. Jesus said "by this all men will know you are my followers if you have love one for another."
While love will find a way, everything else will find an excuse. In 1 Corinthians 14:1, the apostle Paul said, "Let love be your greatest aim!"
God's Word is challenging us to love people more than they deserve... to never miss a chance to do an act of kindness. This is love. And this is the way to make a difference in the life of another. Not simply words. Not simply good intentions. Not simply thoughts. Love in action.
As one writer asked this question, "What does love look like?" His answer, " it has hands to help, feet quickly to serve, eyes to see the hurts of others, ears to hear their sighs and sorrows." This is Love!
This kind of "love in action" really can transform the world... one person at a time. Love equals life. If you miss love, you miss life. Love opens, love asks, love expands, love creates. This is the power of Love!
My challenge to you this week (and for all time)... Make it a point to love someone who doesn't deserve it. And equally as important, make it a point to show a deep love for each other in the family of Christ. Let's all step out and love outrageously, passionately and with abandon. This is the kind of love that will change the world!
Be sure to join us this week at Celebrate for Week Three in our "Just Walk Across the Room" series. This is a week that will change your life. I guarantee it!

Are you new to Celebrate? Interested in learning more, getting connected, or becoming a member?
It all begins with "Discover Celebrate" - a casual reception held every other month just for you. Learn about the culture, mission and vision of Celebrate.
Join us from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM (immediately following the 11:00 am service) on Sunday, October 12. Lunch and childcare will be provided!

Join us for our second ever "Church at the Park" Family Celebration. We will be bringing the entire Celebrate Family (along with the community) together for one celebration service at 10:00 AM at Lakeside Park in Celebration. And of course directly following the service everyone is invited to stick around for a good old fashioned family picnic!
We have teamed up with the Osceola Cancer Center and the American Cancer Society to make this a very special Church at the Park with a purpose... PINK SUNDAY! There will be silent auctions and other activities designed to help raise money for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness. So, wear pink to show your support and get involved!
When: Sunday, October 26 @ 10:00 AM
Where: Lakeside Park (downtown Celebration)
Cost: FREE!
What to Bring: Please bring a potluck dish to share (either a main dish, side dish, salad or dessert), as well as a gallon or two-liter drink to share (water, tea, lemonade, soft drinks, etc.)
We will have a large tent and plenty of chairs, but feel free to bring a blanket to sit on, fold-up chairs and/or umbrella for shade.

Become a Member of Celebrate!

Take that next step to becoming a faithful member of Celebrate. During our fun and interactive Membership Forum on Saturday, October 25th, attendees will be given an opportunity to join as official members. This forum is a pre-requisite to membership at Celebrate.
For some people, church membership can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. In fact, partnership with the vision of a local church is designed to be a rewarding experience for all involved. Joining a church signifies that you have found a place where you can encourage and be encouraged, where you can grow and help others grow.
If you call Celebrate Church "home" and haven't taken that next step of membership, then we invite you to partner with us by joining as one of our members.
The next "Doing Church as a Team" Membership Forum is Saturday, October 25th at the Ramada Orlando Sun Resort from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Free Coffee & Refreshments will be provided!
